First Federal North Olympic Discovery Marathon

The North Olympic Discovery Marathon takes place on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in Washington State.

The event hub is downtown Port Angeles and all event activities are within walking distance. Downtown offers hotels, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and access to the waterfront.

The Hatcher Pass Marathon and Relay  is a low-key, uphill marathon starting in beautiful Willow, Alaska.  The route follows Willow Fishhook Road (aka Hatcher Pass Rd) all the way over the summit, and finishes at the Independence Mine State Historical Park “Bowl”

Race vibe: as mentioned above… LOW KEY.  There are not bands on course (unless musicians magically appear.)  There are not hundreds of spectators.  There is not a pre-race show or airplane jumps or any of that.  There IS amazing camaraderie and enthusiastic friends and family of other runners out there along with VERY curious tourists to Hatcher Pass!  And did we mention amazing course volunteers???

Redding Marathon & Marathon Relay, 5K

Miles 10 to 18 ~Year two of the reroute due to the 2018 CARR Fire

Miles 10 to 18 will take you into the town of Old Shasta and quickly onto a descending paved trail back to the River Trail.  This section of the course was severely burned during the CARR fire of 2018.  As the area rebounds, you will see green growth as the plants and trees reappear.  While the climb into Old Shasta is steep you will find that you will make up time on the descent.

Here  you will rejoin the Sacramento River Trail and run a route across the historic Diestlhorst Bridge

 (leg 2-3 transition) running out and back on  the north side of the river trail and finishing on the iconic glass Sundial Bridge!
