A Community Running event celebrating our Vegas Born Team!
Whether you’re an ice hockey fan, an avid runner, a casual walker, Vegas local, or just love the color GOLD- come share in the spirit of this fun event!
You can choose from the following start times, or run BOTH NIGHT & DAY!
COURSE Yes, we already talked about that. NO, the course won’t be free of snow unless Mother Nature (or some other mother…) deems it so. If it’s really bad we’ll actually groom it so that it’s not as bad as it was in 2014 just to keep people from jumping all over Marathon Don’s back. In case of REALLY SEVERE conditions, we have a certified alternate route that’s 12 loops instead of 6, but our timing guys really hope we don’t have to use it.

Beginning in Lake Village, AR the marathon will navigate around the largest oxbow in the United States to finish in downtown Greenville, MS. “The typical race time temperature and humidity levels are within the ideal range for optimal marathon performance. This, coupled with the Course Score, give the Mississippi River Marathon a PR Score of 99.54. This PR Score ranks it as the 50th fastest marathon in the U.S. and the 1st fastest in Mississippi.”
Experience the Big Easy first hand as you run through the French Quarter, along Esplanade Ave, Jackson Square, and City Park, all awhile running and next to the same floats seen at the world famous Mardi Gras festival.
All races will start together at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time. There is a 6-hour cutoff for both races. However, all half marathoners must maintain a 15 minute per mile average. All full marathoners and relay runners must maintain a pace of 13:44 per mile or faster.
Runners who cannot make the needed time checkpoints at every mile are encouraged to stop as there will not be traffic control, water tables, or a finish time provided to those participants. While they will not be forced to stop, any runners who continue must do so unsupported on the sidewalk and not in the road. Unsupported means that police will not be available to stop traffic at intersections and runners will be responsible for their own safety.
The race will be scored

The finish was at the Southwest Baseball Park where spectators could sit in the stands and watch the runners come in through the gates, run the outside of the field and cross the finish line, it was also projected on the Jumbo-Tron. Nice touch!! Small expo which made it easy to pick up packets. Runners could stay on the school buses until the start. Not a lot of spectators along the course but great aid stations! FREE downloadable photos!! The only negative was that they offered Skratch for electrolytes, which upsets my stomach, I had plenty of notice and I carried my own hydration, but I do appreciate that they stepped out of the norm by handing out Skratch and Honey Stingers.

The Outlaw 100 course consists of a large 13 mile southern loop and a smaller 7 mile northern loop. Together, these loops comprise a unique 20 mile segment that must be completed 5 times. It includes two awesome aid stations manned by experienced Ultra-runners alternating with water stops. The 100 mile course has about 15,000 feet of gain and is over 95% single track. In terms of difficulty, which is subjective, this race might be characterized as intermediate/difficult. The course has very technical terrain with a lot of rocks and moderate gain (but is at an altitude of about 1,000 feet). It is not a rails-to-trails or gravel road thus the lengthy (albeit) generous cutoffs. As in all long courses, water crossings (defined as you MUST get y
