The training program for the Powerade Monterrey Marathon 2022 consists of just over 21 weeks and begins on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
The program is a little longer than usual for a fundamental reason: It starts at the end of the pandemic, in which many runners significantly lowered their training pace.
With that in mind, we lengthened the program a bit, in order to adapt it to the level of fitness that most runners will probably start after limiting their training for two years.
One of the important changes is that of weeks 7 and 14. In those weeks there is a significant reduction in the volume and intensity of training.
