PRESIDENT’S WORD

“In 2003, the Beirut Marathon emerged with peace and unity at the forefront of its mission. My mere dream became 50,000 people’s reality as the Beirut International Marathon welcomed over 109 nationalities on its course over 20 years. We at the Beirut Marathon will always aim to move and unite Lebanon through running.

Beirut has always been a beacon in our region, has always been different, the outsider, the cool kid on the block. Everyone looked forward to visiting this historic city. We, at the Beirut. Marathon, believe that the Lebanese people need these unifying events to feel closer and better about home & now more than ever, Beirut needs us. Beirut is calling for us. Asking us to run, not give up on her when she needs us the most.
