Marathon The Pettit Indoor Marathon is limited to 130 participants and is expected to reach its capacity prior to race-day. Runners will need to finish approximately 94.8 laps around the track to complete the marathon. The race will end on the front stretch of the running track. There is a 6-hour time limit. Those who are still on the track after 6 hours are not guaranteed a finish time or finisher’s medal. The course has been USATF-certified.All registrants will receive a specially-designed shirt and a goodie bag. All finishers will receive a Pettit Indoor Marathon finishers medal.

The half marathon begins at Robidoux RV park just a short walk from the finish line at Five Rocks Amphitheater. As you exit Robidoux, you’ll join the full marathon route and gain some elevation through Mitchell Pass along the Oregon Trail. You’ll continue your 360 degree circle of the Monument past water, badlands, cornfields, and neighborhoods.
5K5K runners get a spectacular view of the Scotts Bluff National Monument and its sister bluff standing sentinel over Mitchell Pass. Turning south before the pass, runners are greeted by Dome Rock, fields, and hills before making their way to the finish on this route that is half pavement and half gravel and dirt.
